Life can be overwhelming, but you don’t need to navigate it alone.

Our Approach Depends on Your Needs

We believe that healing is possible for everyone.

Through evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), we equip our clients with the tools they need to overcome barriers to emotional growth and live an authentic, fulfilling life.

About Pam Samaha, LCSW

My life is rich with experiences.

I received my master’s degree from the Catholic University of America in 1980, and for many years, I was in private practice and have founded programs to address the needs of individuals with mental health concerns.

I founded The Child and Family Institute of Fairfield County (formerly known as The Center for Attention and Related Disorders). We have been privileged to successfully provide effective mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults.

One of the most memorable programs that I developed was a wilderness program for youth with mental health issues. I will always cherish the kids who participated in this program, and they still remind me to this day of how it changed their lives.

Pam’s Biography

Pam brings more than 40 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and steady support. Her work is deeply personal to her, and she feels honored to have walked alongside so many people through seasons of change, healing, and transformation.

At Lotus Behavioral Health, Pam is committed to seeing the whole person, not just a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. She believes meaningful care begins with truly getting to know each individual — their story, their struggles, their strengths, and the goals they hope to reach. In each session, Pam creates a supportive, respectful space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Her approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that lasting progress happens when people feel safe enough to be their authentic selves. She works closely with clients to explore what has brought them to treatment, clarify where they want to go, and create a practical, personalized path forward. Whether someone is facing anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, life transitions, or other emotional challenges, Pam focuses on helping them build insight, develop skills, and reconnect with their inner strengths.

What sets Pam apart is not only her decades of experience, but also the warmth and dedication she brings to her work. She understands that seeking behavioral health support can feel overwhelming, and she strives to make the process feel approachable, compassionate, and hopeful from the very beginning.

Pam’s goal is to help each person feel more confident, more grounded, and more equipped to live an authentic and rewarding life. She considers it a privilege to support individuals on their journey and is here to walk beside them every step of the way.

About Lotus Behavioral Health

Creating Positive Change Is the Goal

You may be contemplating whether therapy could be beneficial to you. You may wonder whether therapy could genuinely help.

I have worked with many people who thought change would never be possible—but it was. They not only improved their relationships and self-esteem but also managed their emotions more effectively. As a result, their lives changed, leaving them feeling fulfilled and empowered.

After our first session together, you will breathe a sigh of relief and feel that you have finally found a safe place to share your most intense feelings, without judgment or criticism.

Creating changes in our lives can be a daunting task without the care and guidance of someone truly dedicated to helping others.

Therapy With Me Is an Investment

When we begin our work together, I want to understand the experiences that have shaped your life and brought you to where you are today. Based on my experiences with clients, I have learned through the years what it takes to help clients make the changes they desire.

I connect easily with people and feel it is a compliment when people tell me how easy it is to talk with me. My approach is both compassionate and practical.

Therapy is a space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered, but also a place for growth and change. Together, we work on building insight, developing healthier coping skills, and finding new ways to move through challenges with strength and clarity.

What makes my work unique is the deep personal investment I bring to each of my clients. My goal is not only to make you feel better but also to help you achieve the life you want and deserve.

Sustainable Change Is Possible

Change begins with establishing a positive and trusting relationship.

I have learned through many years of experience what works in helping people make sustainable changes, and it begins with you desiring to change and being willing to put in the work as we navigate this adventure together.
